We hope that you will be able to join us for this years Unconference where we’ll be ‘On The Move’ taking in the finest literary settings that Manchester has to offer.
With visits to The John Rylands Library, The Portico Library and Central Library, this is a fantastic opportunity to visit Manchester’s greatest libraries while discussing and debating issues relating to library provision and reading for children and young people.
We will be meeting on Saturday 6th June from 10.00am in the coffee shop on the ground floor of Manchester Central Library, St Peters Square Manchester M2 5PD.
The Itinerary for the day is available below. The event is open to all and tickets are Free but you must reserve a place. Book your tickets now via Eventbrite:
Please note that we will be walking between venues so please dress accordingly. We will be at The John Rylands Library (Deansgate) at lunchtime which has an excellent café with a range of lunch options. There is space to sit outside if you want to bring your own lunch (weather permitting) and plenty of other food outlets nearby. We can’t provide free refreshments but have built in plenty of opportunities to buy drinks and use toilet facilities on our tour.
If you are interested in attending we’d also really like to hear from you about the kind of topics you’d like to see discussed. You can contact us via email or using the hashtag #ylgnwunc15 on twitter. As always, we’d also be interested to hear what you’ve been reading lately and which books you are recommending at the moment.
