We’re really excited to announce that, following last year’s successful event in Manchester, this year’s Unconference on the Move will be held in the cultural heart of Liverpool on Saturday 17th September.
The unconference is aimed at anybody with an interest in promoting books and reading to children and young people and is a brilliant opportunity to network with others and pick up some new ideas. We’ll be visiting Liverpool Central Library, St George’s Hall and the Walker Art Gallery and there will be plenty of opportunity for discussion of children and young people’s library provision and books.
As always we’ll be interested to hear what you’ve been reading and we’ll be discussing and voting on titles to put forward as the North West nominations for this year’s CILIP Carnegie & Kate Greenaway awards.
We will meet in the coffee shop at Liverpool Central Library at 9.45am and the day will end at 3.15pm. Unfortunately we are unable to provide refreshments or lunch but there will be plenty of opportunities to pick up a coffee along the way. Delegates are welcome to bring their own lunch or join us in the cafe at the Walker Art Gallery.
